Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a huge fan of the treadmill. I have always been easily bored when it comes to exercise, so I spent years experimenting with various fitness routines -- from ballet to aerobics to Tae Bo -- and while all were enjoyable, most hurt my knees or back.
At the suggestion of some friends, I tried Pilates several years ago and have never looked back. Finally, something challenging and fun that didn't hurt! I lost 5 inches and got into great shape fast, but I also became really aware of my posture and what it meant to be aware of my body and alignment in all of life’s activities.
I was so happy with my own transformation that I wanted to inspire others to do the same, and quickly became a passionate and dedicated student of Pilates. I completed my Pilates Instructor Certification at the 500-hour level, receiving rigorous training from some of the best instructors in the industry, and am also certified at the national level by the Pilates Method Alliance. Always looking for a way to kick things up a notch, I also studied the Booty Barre with Tracey Mallett and am now a certified Booty Barre instructor, as well as a TRX instructor!
I consider Pilates and fitness to be life long studies, and am excited each day to improve my practice while helping others reach their ultimate potential. I pride myself on making the most of my clients' precious time: give me an hour, and I'll work your body from head to toe, sending you away feeling longer, leaner, taller, fitter -- and sweaty!
